Built to service West Virginia University, the Domain is a student-apartment development with 912 beds. Sitting atop a mountain at 500 Domain Drive, The Domain overlooks the city of Morgantown and offers a diverse set of student-centered amenities, including prefurnished apartments equipped with 42-inch flat-screen TVs.
“The Domain location is within the University Town Center shopping district,” Kirk says, “making it adjacent to a wide variety of retailers and restaurants that are all located within walking distance of the development.”
The Domain is situated in a standard garden-style formation, with 14 separate buildings, including a 6,600-square-foot clubhouse and the largest recreational outdoor swimming pool in Morgantown. Units range from 601 square feet, (with one bed and one bath) to 1,470 square feet (with four bedrooms), and they’re all leased separately by the bed and come with nine-foot ceilings, track lighting, stainless-steel appliances, walk-in closets, and granite countertops. Finished with a gated entry, a dedicated campus shuttle, and a 24-hour fitness facility, the Domain sets a high standard for student housing in West Virginia.
“We began preleasing for the Domain in October 2011, with a target August 2012 move-in date,” Kirk says. “By the end of January 2012, all of the bedrooms had been preleased, which set a company record for Asset Plus.” Kirk suspects the rapid booking rate reflects the national need for clean, efficient, and reliable student housing.

Located immediately adjacent to Texas Tech University’s divertive Jones AT&T Stadium, 25Twenty is a fully furnished, private student-housing development with plenty of diversions of its own.
The complex—inspired by southwestern architectural styles—is built around a private community area that is host to a resort-style, lagoon-shaped swimming pool; a fire pit; a pro-style sand volleyball court; and a hammock area.
There’s also a 9,600-square-foot clubhouse, loaded with additional amenities to ease the bustle of student life. Among its bells and whistles are a theater; a business center; private study rooms; an Internet café with PC and Mac computers; an Xbox and Playstation gaming center; and a gaming room with two pool tables, a shuffleboard table, and a state-of-the-art workout facility.
The units, ranging in size from one to four bedrooms, have 10-foot ceilings, custom track lighting, full-size washers and dryers, granite countertops, and stainless-steel appliances. “Ten percent of the units also come with a pool table in the unit itself,” Kirk says. “It’s a really unique flourish, and I don’t think any other private student-housing companies have done this before.”
High-speed Internet access is another amenity at 25Twenty and all other ACH student-housing developments. “The amenities are essential,” Kirk says. “The student experience should be memorable, and the level of the service you apply is key.”
In 2012, StudentHousingBusiness.com named 25Twenty the Best New Student Housing Development in the country. There’s no question as to why. ABQ
